In order to deliver a solid soccer program based on the principals of the Long Term Player Development and Preferred Training Model to the membership of Leduc Soccer Association, all perspective coaches for the upcoming 2017/2018 Indoor season will have to fill out a Coaches Application form online or request an email copy from email@example.com.
Once applications have been received, LSA will arrange an interview with the perspective coach. Coaches will be expected to follow the principles and guidelines of the Long Term Player Development (LTPD) plan and Preferred Training Model (PTM) as outlined by both Canada Soccer and Alberta Soccer for the following age groups:
Mini, U6 and U8.
The principles and guidelines should also be followed for all other age divisions as well.
As per normal, LSA will pay for all coaches to obtain the various coaching certificate as outlined by Alberta Soccer. This will be a prerequisite for any coaching position and are non-negotiable. There may at times be additional coach training sessions hosted by LSA throughout the season where attendance will be required.
Closing date for submissions for United coaches is 1 August 2017 and interviews will take place by no later than the 27 August 2017.
Closing date for submissions for Community coaches is 1 September 2017 and interviews will take place by no later than the 17 September 2017.
Should a coach meet or exceed the criteria as outlined by LSA, there will be an honorarium paid to the coach at the completion of the season. Completion of an application form does not guarantee a coaching position.
Leduc Soccer Association is firmly behind the ideals and principles as outlined by Canada Soccer and Alberta Soccer with regards to the LTPD and PTM. LSA believes that by implementing and following the LTPD and PTM, that it will provide all of it members with a suitable program that will assist players with the necessary fundamentals needed to excel at either Community or Competitive levels and develop a lifelong love for the beautiful game.
