Jumpstart and KidSport Grants

We understand that the cost of sports participation can be a barrier for some families. To help ensure that every child has the opportunity to play soccer, we encourage you to apply for Jumpstart and KidSport grants.

Jumpstart:
Jumpstart is a national charity that helps kids from financially disadvantaged families participate in sports and physical activities. The program provides funding for registration fees, equipment, and other costs associated with sports participation. By applying for a Jumpstart grant, you can receive financial assistance to support your child's involvement in our soccer programs.  Jumpstart will typically provide a $300 grant per child per application to a total of $600 per year.

KidSport:
KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for children to play organized sports. The KidSport grant covers registration fees and equipment costs, making it easier for families to get their kids involved in sports. Applying for a KidSport grant can help reduce the financial burden and ensure your child has access to the benefits of playing soccer.  KidSport Leduc can provide up to $250 per approved child, per calendar year towards sport registration fees.

For more information and to apply for these grants, please visit the Jumpstart and KidSport websites. If you need assistance with the application process, feel free to reach out to us for support.

We will no longer be using discount codes

To streamline the process, we ask that you register using a credit card and select the payment plan option. Once your Jumpstart or KidSport funding is received, we will:
Refund your initial payment.
Apply the remaining funds toward your future payments.

This approach simplifies the process on our end and ensures your registration is completed smoothly.

We also strongly recommend applying for KidSport in addition to Jumpstart, as Jumpstart funding has run out in previous years. If you don’t use the funding for soccer, it can be applied to other sports, so there’s no downside to applying.
